How would you define ‘Love’?
Well for me, half my life is over, yet, I fail to actually define love. At one time, it was my family, that were my very being. But then I got married and priorities changed.
Then came my spouse who I could not live without. Or so I thought. But we grew apart.
Next were the children. Oh I do love them very very much. But they need to fly the nest right? You cannot keep them to yourself forever. They need to learn and grow up and fall in love as well.
My friends….. Yes. I do have a very special connection with the handful of people who really know me. The rest are acquaintances I would say.
But do I love them all ??
It took me 54 years on earth to realise that the one true love that I and maybe all of us don’t talk about is….. Your own self.
At this point in life, I think I am not wrong in saying that my true love is Myself. All that I have been doing in my life, up until now, has been to make myself happy.
So isn’t that my true love??
Or yours even for that matter. Agreed we sacrifice a lot for the people we care about
But thats exactly what it is… A sacrifice.. that’s not love.
Love thyself, and the world will love you. Hate yourself, well there is no end to the hate that will come to you then
So my first. Last and only true love is Myself.
Think about it. And be honest with yourselves… Gives you a lot of peace of mind.
